To be eligible to apply for the RPF Constable and Sub Inspector posts, the candidate must follow the given age limit and education qualification. Candidates who are planning for the Constable position must have completed at least the 10th class, whereas Sub-Inspector applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree
RPF Education Qualification

RPF Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for the RPF (Railway Protection Force) typically consists of several stages to ensure the recruitment of eligible and qualified candidates. All stages to be conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). The selection process may include the following stages:
Phase 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)- The initial stage of the selection process is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) that assesses candidates’ knowledge in subjects such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Candidates who qualify for the CBT are then required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET includes physical tasks such as running, long jump, and high jump. The standards for PET may vary based on the gender of the candidate.
Phase 3: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Candidates who clear the PET are subjected to a Physical Measurement Test to ensure that they meet the prescribed physical standards.
Phase 4: Document Verification- After clearing the PET and PMT, candidates need to provide the necessary documents to verify their eligibility, which typically includes educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents.
RPF Application Fees
To Apply Online for the RPF Recruitment Exam, a candidate must pay the Application Fees. If the applicant fails to pay the required application fee, his/her application form will be considered incomplete and thus will not be accepted. A sum of Rs. 500/- needs to be paid as an application fee for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories. The same amount is reduced to Rs. 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Female/Ex. Servicemen/EBC Category.

Steps to Apply Online for RPF Recruitment

Step 1- Visit the official website: RPF accepts online applications. Visit the official website of the Railway Protection Force at www.rpf.indianrailways.gov.in
Step 2- Registration: Register on the recruitment portal by providing your basic details, including your name, contact information, and email address. You will receive a registration ID and password.
Step 3- Filling Application Form: Log in to the portal using the registration ID and password. Fill out the application form with all the required information, including personal details, educational qualifications, and other relevant information.
Step 4- Upload Documents: You will be asked to upload scanned copies of documents such as your photograph, signature, and any other necessary certificates. Ensure that these documents meet the specified file size and format requirements.
Step 5- Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee as specified in the recruitment notification. Payment methods may include online payment through debit/credit cards, net banking, or other available options.

Exam Pattern for SI and Constable Posts
The exam pattern for both Constable and SI posts is the same with 120 questions but varies in the difficulty level of the questions. For Constable posts, the difficulty level of the questions asked will be of Matriculation (10th) level and for SI posts, the questions will be of graduation level. RRB RPF CBT Exam Pattern
Negative Marking: ⅓rd marks will be deducted for a question attempted wrong by a candidate. No marks will be deducted for any question left unanswered.
Time Duration: The time given to complete the Computer Based Test is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes).
No. of Questions- In total, there will be 120 Questions in the RPF CBT Exam wherein 50 questions from General Awareness, 35 questions from Arithmetic, and 35 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning.
Type of Questions- The questions will be Objective Type/Multiple Choice Questions.
Mode of Exam- The CBT Exam for RPF Recruitment will be conducted in online mode.
Qualifying Marks- For Sub-Inspector- UR, EWS and OBC-NCL – 35%, SC & ST – 30%
For Constable- UR, EWS and OBC-NCL – 35%, SC & ST – 30%

RPF Document Verification
This is the final selection stage for RPF Recruitment. Candidates who have been selected in the previous processes will be finally called for Document Verification. In the official notification, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has also notified the pay level and starting pay scale for both SI and Constable posts which is as follows-
Constable- Pay Level 3 as per 7th CPC and the starting pay will be Rs. 21700/-.
Sub Inspector- Pay Level 6 as per 7th CPC and the starting pay will be Rs. 35400/-.

RPF Admit Card
RRB will also release the application status and admit card before its CBT examination. The application status will provide information about whether the candidate’s application was submitted properly or not, and the RPF Admit Card is the essential document required to get entry to the exam hall.
